Q: People attend college or university for many different reasons. Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

A: I believe most people in my country attend college or university for their future career. Some people may say that people attend college simply because they want to study more on what they want to pursue. I disagree. I think many people go to college because they are more likely to get hired after they graduate. The reason I am saying this is when I was a student, I asked many of my friends why they entered the college and chose the faculty they belonged to and most of them said they didn’t have strong perspective on why they choose to learn there. Instead, they simply chose to learn at the college because their parents told them to do so for their future career. Behind this, I’m sure, is the fact that many companies still prefer to hire those who graduate from college or university.
